Gra (グラ Gura) is a country on the continent of Archanea in the Archanea Series of Fire Emblem.
Overview
The nation of Gra is located on an island directly east of Altea. The nation was orginally part of Altea, but after Anri, Altea's founding ruler, passed away without leaving an heir, a dispute over claim to the Altean throne resulted in the nation splitting in two. While Anri's brother Marcelus took the Altean throne, a faction opposed to him formed the breakaway nation of Gra. Despite the dispute, Gra retained close bonds with Altea and remained allies.
In Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, Gra, under King Jiol, betrays Altea to Dolhr. During Dolhr's invasion, Gra attacks Altea's defense from the rear, resulting in the death of Altea's King Cornelius. This betrayal shocks many of Gra's citizenry, but Gra's people were forced to comply due to the presence of an occupation force. During the war, Gra is the weakest of Dolhr's allies, and lent only token support. Marth's forces eventually attack Gra's capital and slay Jiol.
After the War of Shadows, Gra is left in ruins. However, during the War of Heroes, the nation receives support from Emperor Hardin of the Archanean empire in exchange for their loyalty, and Jiol's daughter Sheena is put in power. Sheena is popular among her people, and the younger generation of Gra's people are eager for revenge on Altea. However the inexperienced young soldiers are used as expendable pawns by Archanea. When confronted by Marth's powerful army, most of Gra's soldiers turn and flee.
If Marth does not attack the fleeing Gra soldiers, he is able to make amends with Sheena and Gra, pledging to help in the nation's restoration. At the end of the game, Sheena entrusts Marth with Gra, knowing that he will treat its citizens as if they were his own, and the nation becomes part of the united Archanean Alliance.
After the events of the Schism, the territory that once encompassed Gra eventually becomes part of the Theocracy of Plegia, alongside the territories of Grust, Dolhr, Macedon and Altea.

- Jiol - The king of Gra who is eventually killed by Marth in the Altean army's siege of Gra.
- Sheena - The daughter of Jiol's second wife and the princess of Gra who feels the heavy weight of her responsibility.
- Captain - A nameless Captain from Gra.
Trivia
- The exact details of the dispute that led to Gra's split from Altea, as well as the identity of Gra's first king, are unexplained. The Complete seems to indicate it was founded by Altean nobles.
- All Soldier units encountered in Shadow Dragon are from Gra, excluding Altean Soldiers who show up for one cutscene.
