Holy Guards are elite Pegasus Knights of Begnion that serve the Apostle as her personal guards. During the events of the Tellius Series, their commander is Sigrun, and Tanith is their deputy commander. When she is first introduced in Path of Radiance, Marcia is a former member of the Holy Guard, having resigned her post due to complications brought by her lowlife brother Makalov.

The Holy Guard are an elite force of Pegasus Knights considered the Apostle's personal soldiers. Daughters of the nation's most powerful noble houses are among its ranks.

Independent of the rest of the Begnion Army, the Holy Guard answers only to the Apostle, and as such are capable of providing swift protection for her in times of emergency.
