The Member Card is a special card required for entry into Secret Shops. In the English localization of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, it is called the VIP Card.
Overview
Required for entry into Secret Shops, Member Cards are rare items that are typically found in the possession of specific enemy units. These units may be recruitable, in which case the player will acquire the card on recruiting them. One such example is the character Hugh in The Binding Blade. Otherwise, if the Member Card is in the possession of an unrecruitable enemy, it can only be acquired as a reward drop for defeating them.
It is commonplace that a Secret Shop appears in the same chapter in which a Member Card can be acquired.
