Profile
Gradlon is a country located at the center of the continent of Elyos, and the land inhabited by the Fell Dragon. A thousand years before the start of the story, it is said that Gradlon invaded the continent of Elyos in an attempt to conquer it. After their defeat, the Fell Dragon and Gradlon were sealed deep in the seabed of Lythos, thanks to the power of the Divine Dragon and the Emblem Rings. Unlike the other lands in Elyos, Gradlon is covered in volcanic rock and lava, seemly devoid of life.
After the defeat of Sombron, Gradlon became lush with vegitation and life, with Veyle becoming its ruler a century later.

Locations
Etymology
Gradlon is named after King Gradlon Meur or Gradlon the Great who once ruled the mythical coastal city of Ys. Some legends say that he built Ys requested by his sorceress daughter Dahut and he built dikes to protect the city from flooding. However, Dahut ends up opening one of the dikes causing the city to flood. Gradlon manages to escape with the help of a saint but Dahut ends up falling off of his horse and into the sea. Afterwards Gradlon is said to take residence in Quimper and eventually becomes king there.
