Hati is a character in Fire Emblem Shadows. She is a retainer to the shadow goddess, Fenris, and the younger sister of Skoll.
Profile
Book 1
Hati is a retainer of the Demon Wolf Goddess Fenris alongside her older brother Skoll, the two of them are sent to the surface by Fenris to find people willing to make a pact with her and become disciples of Shadow and help her plunge the world into darkness. In addition, Fenris has a vision of saviors of other worlds summoned to the kingdom of Ast, and sends Hati to make a pact with one, she locates man with no memory of his life other than his name, Dimitri, and offers him a chance to make his greatest wish come true in exchange for forging a pact with Fenris, Dimitri accepts and he sinks into shadow, becoming her disciple. In addition, Hati recruits the bandit leader Bartolomeus who makes a pact with Fenris and she sends him after Prince Kurt thanks to information from an agent.
In the underground passageways of Holtz, Hati and Skoll encounter the Divine Dragon's retainers Sai and Shea, along with their disciple Lyn, before Hati orders Dimitri to fight Lyn and leaves, before being interrogated by Shea about who they made a pact with, to which they give no answers, Hati reveals herself to Prince Kurt's army, to which she exposes his retainer Gotthold as the traitor and orders him to kill his students, but at the last second, Gotthold regains control of his senses and lands a near fatal blow onto Hati, breaking his pact, to which confuses her as it should not be possible before realizing that the Divine Dragons made a pact with him as well. Hati, clinging to her life, leaves before stating that by breaking his pact, Gotthold with die an agonizingly painful death after a short amount of time.
After recovering, she and Skoll escape as they receive orders from Fenris to abandon their plans for Prince Kurt and instead to hunt down the newly discovered 13th heir of the royal families in hopes of forging a pact with them, as they bid Naga's retainers farewell, promising that they will face off again at another time.
Book 2
Hati and Skoll travel to the Holy Kingdom of Tournu where they track down who they believe to be the heir of the 13th bloodline and convince Bartolomeus to pillage the nearby village in order to root him out. After he attacks, they find the heir, Joachim, who they nurse back to health. They try to convince him to make a pact with Fenris in order to seek vengeance on the bandits, but Joachim refuses as he wishes to fight with his own strength.
Later, Bartolomeus and the bandits have been slaughtered, with Joachim at the center, not knowing what had happened, where Hati and Skoll convince Joachim that he did in fact make a pact with Fenris without realizing it while he was recovering, much to his disbelief. They then order him to follow his friends and to not tell anyone about his pact as they leave, satisfied.
