History in the Series

The Bride class has only appeared in one game, Fire Emblem Awakening, as an optional DLC class. It is essentially the inverse of the Awakening variation of the Dread Fighter class as it is locked to female characters whereas the Dread Fighter is locked to male characters. Both each utilize three equipment that the other does not with the Bride utilizing Lances, Bows, and Staves.

According to the Bridal Variation of Cordelia in Fire Emblem Heroes, the Bride class is a legitimate combat class in Ylisse.

Overview

In general, the Bride Class is a universal class for all female characters of Awakening and is highly flexible as both an offensive and supportive unit. Lances gives them the ability to attack at both ranges with Javelins, especially Spears, as well as some other useful weapons for Magic oriented characters in the Shockstick. Other useful lances include the Killer Lance and Brave Lance for more physical characters. Bows also makes them great for swatting aerial units, though they cannot use the Longbow. Staves gives Brides supportive options to heal allies.

Their true strength lies in their two unique skills. Rally Heart is a variation of Rally Spectrum. While the boost to all stats are +2 rather than the latter's +4, the other huge benefit is the +1 to movement, which does stack on the boost from Rally Movement. It also stacks on Rally Spectrum, making it an extremely potent skill on female Robin, female Morgan, any other daughter of male Robin, and most female Einherjar. Aside from Lissa, Maribelle, Sumia, and Emmeryn, who already have five Rally skills in their default kits, Bride gives most of the other first generation females a fourth Rally skill or a third one. Their other skill Bond heals 10 HP to all allies within three spaces of them at the start of the Player Phase, which also stacks on Renewal's heal.
