The Cat is both a race and a class of Beast tribe Laguz that is exclusive to the Tellius Series of Fire Emblem.

Profile

Cat Laguz tribesmen are a group of Laguz that is able to assume the form of a giant wild cat at will. Cats rip the flesh of their foes with their Claws. Like all other Beast tribe Laguz, the Cat class is vulnerable to Fire Magic.

Residing in the nation of Gallia as one of many Beast Tribes, Cats, alongside Tigers, are not positioned very high up on the social hierarchy of the country as compared to Lions. This is attributed to the existence of national traditions mandating that only those possessing supreme strength are deemed fit to rule; Lions are known to have fulfilled this criterion and are therefore recognised as the country's leaders, with a small group serving as the royal family. Within the events of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, only a small handful of Cats emerge as active participants of the wars breaking out in both titles, including Lethe, Ranulf, Lyre and Kezhda.

Combat

Cats are essentially the Laguz equivalent of Myrmidons, boasting high Skill and Speed that is offset by low Strength and Defense. In Radiant Dawn, Cats are superb evaders, but are usually unable to finish off enemies at full HP.
