Not to be confused with Hit Rate.

Hit% (which often shows as simply Hit in the game) is a weapon stat used to determine how likely a weapon is to hit.

Overview

Hit% is a visible stat on weapons that changes Hit Rates during combat. Hit% is not a direct translation of a character's ability to land a hit on a foe, but is one of the factors that makes it easier to do so. Hence even a weapon with 100% Hit Rate can still miss if the character's Dexterity is not high enough among other factors.

Generally, Hit% scales with the weapon grade with some weapons. For example Bronze Sword has 100% Hit% while a Silver Sword has a 85% Hit% in Fire Emblem Awakening. Traditionally, Hit% plays into the balancing scheme of the Weapon Triangle with Swords generally having the highest Hit% at all tiers, Lances having the middle ground at all tiers, and Axes having the lowest at all tiers. Hit% is also generally balanced against a weapon's Might, resulting in weapons with higher Hit% more likely to hit, but deal less damage per hit. For games that feature Weight, this may also be used in the balancing of a weapon's hit rate.T his scaling and balancing however may be adjusted based off weapons with special properties such as higher Critical hit rates, the Brave weapons extra attack feature, and especially for legendary weapons that usually break these balances or exasperate them.
